I have an Associate of Liberal Arts in Maths and Science. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and a graduate diploma in secondary education, specializing in science.
Experience
I am currently a full-time high school teacher. I teach HSC Earth and Environment, HSC Biology, and HSC Chemistry. I have been tutoring since I have been teaching, most of my students stay on until they graduate due to the versatility of skills gained from regular tutor session. These skills include organisation, time management, coping with 'test stress', exam preparation and understanding the content to a deeper level. Taking on a Year 10 student will prepare them to be in the top of their class by Year 11, if they are willing to put in the commitment required. At the very least, confidence in the subject will be acquired. I use virtual whiteboards and multiple devices to tutor, allowing for a smooth learning experience. I also have access to most math textbooks for students in grades seven through twelve. I have experience working with children, and I am very familiar with the new National Australian Curriculum. I have always tutored accelerated and extension math courses, in addition to standard maths. I have been teaching at a secondary school full time since 2014. Private tutoring is helpful for students of all abilities, including those who are working ahead in their course and those who have fallen behind.
